Setting Activity Completion for Quizzes

Quizzes are important -how can we make sure our learner has completed them in their course? Read on and find out:

Step 1: Click 'Turn Editing On' inside your course

Step 2: Add a quiz activity OR click on an existing activity of this type

Step 3: At the bottom of the page of the 'Edit Settings' page, under 'Activity Completion' click the                following:

• Completion Tracking - select 'show activity as complete when all conditions are met'
• Require View - select this option only if you consider opening the quiz as completing the activity. Remember, selecting this option with a combination of others may cause problems in the activity tracking itself.
• Require Grade - select if completion of this activity requires receiving a grade. Remember that if you mark the next section of the 'passing grade', there's no need to mark this section
• Require Passing Grade - select if completion of this activity requires a certain passing grade. Remember you can change the passing grade on this same page under 'Grade', or in the grading sheet of the course.
