It's equally helpful and important for our future content and system development, to be able to get some feedback from our users - and even nicer that a feedback tool is already built inside the LearningZone system. Learn how to create a feedback activity below:
So What Do We Do?
Creating a feedback activity is done in two simple steps:
1. Creating the Feedback Activity
2. Creating the questions for the feedback activity
We can even save out feedback and reuse it in the future. See how below.
Creating the Feedback Activity
Step 1: Go into the relevant course where you would like to add a feedback activity (if you have not yet created a course, check out our Knowledgebase for all the information you need).
Then, click 'Turn Editing On' and 'Add Activity or Resource'
Step 2: Select 'Feedback' in the list that opens
Step 3: Give your Feedback a name and a short description
Step 4: under 'Question and Submission Settings', select whether the feedback will be anonymous, if a user can submit answers to the feedback more than once, whether after each response the instructor will get a notification email, and more.
Step 5: under 'After Submission' - select whether to display the feedback to the user after he has completed it, and what message you would like the user to recieve after he completes the feedback.
Step 6: click 'Save and View/ Return to Course' when you are finished.
Creating Questions in your Feedback
Step 1: After creating your Feedback activity and clicking 'Save and View', click on the 'Edit Questions' tab.
Step 2: under 'Content', select the type of question you'd like to see in the feedback. The most common questions used are: 'Short/Longer Text Answer', 'Multiple Choice' (for example - select the elements that are most important to you in employee evaluation), and 'Rated Multiple Choice' (for example - rate the instructor's knowledge on the following scale)
Here's an example for a rated multiple choice question:
Step 3: When you are finished, click 'Save Question'. The preview of the question will then appear.
Step 4: To copy, edit, and save your existing question as a new one - click on the pencil icon next to the question's name.
Saving a Feedback Template and Using a Saved Template
Step 1: to create a new question template, click on the 'Template' tab at the top of the page. Then, under 'Save These Questions as a New Template', enter the new template's name and mark the box 'Public'. Then click 'Save' to finish.
Step 2: To select and use an existing template, select template under 'Use a Template'.
Step 3: After opening the existing template, you may select whether to add new questions, or delete existing ones. Click 'Save' to finish.
